Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On the 25th of June 2011, we will set off from Land's End, Cornwall, with the aim of cycling to John O'Groats over the course of 14 gruelling days. The trip will cover around 1,000 miles, and will see us pedal our way through England, Wales and Scotland, averaging around 70 miles per day.
This foolhardy jaunt is being done to raise money for the Highland Hospice, who provide vital care to those with incurable and life limiting diseases in the Highlands of Scotland. Anyone who knows or lives in the area will know of someone who has benefitted from the excellent care the Highland Hospice provides, and will no doubt agree that this is a most worthy cause. The hospice relies entirely on the generosity of the public to provide the £42,000 that is required to maintain their exceptional quality of care each week, and with your help, we'd like to try and raise £3,000 towards helping them do so.
Your support would mean a lot to both the hospice and ourselves, and would make all the hours of training we have ahead of us feel that bit more worthwhile. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
