We are the MS Society. We are strong enough to stop MS together.

Story

The MS Society is the leading UK charity fighting to improve treatment and care to help people with MS take control of their lives.
Together, we’re funding world class research that could beat MS for good. We’ve already made some incredible breakthroughs and you can help make even more. This year, we’re hoping our cake breakers will whip up £350,000. That’s over 6,000 hours of life-changing research.

Cake Break 2015 is going to be fab so please come and be part of it! We will have lots of yummy cakes for sale, a raffle with incredible prizes, Easter themed games, face painting, craft stalls & lots more!

£5200 was raised in 2014s event for the MS Society (10% going to Wirral MS Group) it would be fab if we could get close to that again.

Kat's story -

Cake Break 2015 is being hosted by myself, Kirsty Brady & Victoria Bithell. I thought we should all introduce ourselves so I'll go first!

I'm Kat! I'm married to Alan and we have a gorgeous little boy (totally biased!) called Benjamin who has just turned 2.
I took part in my first cake break with Kirsty in 2013 & I just love it! I have such fun organising the events & the fact that we can raise such a huge amount of money for the MS Society is just fab! Both of my parents have MS (both?! Yes!) so this is a charity very close to my heart. We need to find a cure! My dad was diagnosed in 1997 and mum in 2009. Watching both parents struggle on a daily basis is heart breaking. I wish I could do something, anything to help!
So please, come to our event, buy some cakes, raffle tickets, make a donation, anything you can. It really does mean a lot to me, my family & one of my best friends xxx

Kirsty's story -

For those of you who do not know me, and do not know why I am raising funds for the MS Society. Here is my story, in 2010 I was finally diagnosed after 9 months of tests including mri scans, bloods, and a horrific lumber puncture. As you can imagine at the age of 25 hearing those words that you have MS was horrendous. I immediately saw my future in a wheel chair, I was organising my wedding to get married that June, its not what I wanted to hear or my future husband.
After all the help and support from the Wirral MS Society and the MS society itself I learnt to understand that MS is different for every individual. Live for today and look after yourself, every day is a new day, that is the way I have to think, and to rest when my body tells me. There is no cure as of yet, but to help raise as much money as I can will help with research to find a cure.
So please dig deep and help us beat MS.
Much love
Kirsty xxx

Victoria's story -
I'm Vicki, one of the 3 hosts of the MS Cake Break 2015 event coming up in March.
Together myself, my sister Kat Garner and friend Kirsty Brady took part in our first fundraiser in 2013, we raised money again in 2014 and we are hoping 2015 will be the biggest and best to date.
If anyone remembers reading my sisters post earlier in the month, then you will already know why this means so much to us. Both Mum and Dad have Multiple Sclerosis and whilst we do all we can to help day to day, it's not enough. Every single day is a struggle for them and it's truly heartbreaking.
We need to help raise funds to find a cure and help sufferers manage the disease so much better.
Please come to our event ! Please buy some cakes, make donations, buy some raffle tickets and win some amazing prizes. It means more than I could ever put into words.
