31 DAYS BEHIND BARS...
Hello again, and thank you for visiting my page.
Last year I cycled from Gibraltar to Blackpool and managed to raise over £8000 for the British Legion, thanks to you.
I must have a patchy memory because I've forgotten how bad that was and as a result have decided to go for the big one, which means cycling from Los Angeles to Boston starting Easter Sunday...3500 miles forward and 100000' up.
Why am I doing this?
1) I think I might have a dodgy memory- did I mention that?
2) Last July we saw our friend and colleague Linda Wright pass away after a real battle against cancer. She spent the last three weeks of her life being cared for by the wonderful staff at Trinity Hospice, near Blackpool.
Perhaps Trinity Hospice isn't too familiar to you: all I can say is that they provide specialist palliative care for adults and children who have life limiting illnesses. Last year my colleagues and I saw how the great people at Trinity can make a difference.
I'm covering all the costs of this madness, so you know that whatever you give will go to make a difference. And if you are a U.K. taxpayer please use the GiftAid option which allows these charities to reclaim an extra 28% on top of whatever you give.
Plus, for every £1000 of sponsorship raised on either site, I will donate £200.
Thank you for your support- it means a lot.
ps This page is for donation to the fantastic Trinity Hospice: if you would like to donate to Macmillan Cancer Support please visit my other page https://www.bmycharity.com/V2/C2CMAC
One more thing: I'll be trying to keep a blog going at http://c2cmac.blogspot.com/
