Story

The challenge is now complete! I travelled around 1400 miles from Pednathaise Head (Scilly) to Brough Head (Orkney). You can read all the details and see pictures on www.bristishisleschallenge.co.uk. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and please keep doing so! I still have donations to collect so the totals will continue to rise until the end of the year...

In June and July 2009 I will be taking on the "British Isles Challenge. The challenge is to travel between the most southerly and northerly points in the UK by human power alone, which I do not think has been done before.

This means from the Western Rocks off the Scilly Isles in the south, to Out Stack, a sea stack to the north of the Shetland Islands, by sea kayaking, running, swimming, mountain biking, cycling, and rowing.

I hope to raise £10,000 for three charities - Water for Kids, AVERT AIDS and NSPCC. Please support the challenge by sponsoring me. I will be putting 100% into succeeding at this challenge, and hope to make it worthwhile by raising as much as possible for these great charities.

Details, maps and pictures of preperations for the trip are on http://www.britishisleschallenge.co.uk/. As the trip progresses there will also be a live map to follow my progress. To see the great work Water for Kids do, please have a look at their website at www.waterforkids.co.uk.
Thank You!
