Many of you know the history of our great club, for those who don't here is a brief overview.

40 years ago, our neighbours and rivals QPR tried to take us over, had it not been for the fans pulling together they would have succeeded. A number of schemes were invented incluing a walk from Brighton to Brentford (a journey of well over 50 miles) that raised, what in those times was a vast amount of money (over £1000).  On that day (20th May), 40 years ago over 200 fans, accompanied by some of the players of the time set off.   

On the same date 40 years later, another group of fans will once again begin the journey (64 miles) to raise monies for Bees United and C-R-Y (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and to remember and honour those who walked the first time and left us the legacy of a club to support.  WIthout them Brentford would no longer be here.
