Story

Can we make it £3500 to enable the Hospice purchase a new care bed? Well the answer is yes we have!

The event is over and it looks like the final figure is going to be £5200. As you can see, the generosity of people has been staggering, so much so that my original target of £1100, £1500 and my revised target of £2000 had easily been met! Having spoken to the Hospice I have decided to try and raise enough money to buy a special care bed. This type of bed is so important to the patients care and comfort. That meant a required a new target of £3500. This has also been reached....and with plenty to spare! Thank you to everyone who has contributed, the Hospice are very very pleased.

What was the event?

On  June 13th - 17th 2007  I cycled 279 miles from London to Paris to raise funds and awareness of the John Eastwood Hospice at Sutton in Ashfield.

Day 1 - London to Calais 125km (77.5 miles)

Day 2 - Calais to Abbeville 120km (74.4 miles)

Day 3 - Abbeville to Beauvais 110km (68.2 miles)

Day 4 - Beauvais to Paris 95km (59 miles)
