UPDATE 6TH OCTOBER
We both completed the run. My unofficial time roughly 2.27 and Ian's 2.17. The conditions were horrible with pouring rain and other difficulties. It was a relief to finish it and both of us are feeling very sore today! Thanks to all of you that have sponsored us.

Hello
Ian and I, in a moment of madness, entered London's first half marathon on 5th October (
http://www.runtothebeat.co.uk/ ) which starts and ends at London's O2 Arena. Most of you know this as I havent stopped moaning about it.
There are a group of us running from the Charlton Life Supporters Group and for added incentive we have all decided to try and raise some money for Demelza House. Demelza is a hospice based in Kent for children with life limiting illnesses and a charity which we have helped raise money for in the past. They are currently building a new home in Eltham, South East London and we would like to raise money to help with this and their other projects. Demelza's motto is "to add life to days when days cannot be added to life" and you can read more about this charity at
http://www.demelzahouse.org/
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Demelza, Hospice Care for Children gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us and make our pain worthwhile. If Damien Hirst can raise £700k for Demelza then I dont see why we cant match that!! Thanks.
Brenda and Ian
