Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2008; she had to undergo two operations and 3 weeks of radiotherapy, which finished shortly before Christmas. She's now waiting for a follow-up scan to see how the treatment went. Despite how ill she's been, she's one of the lucky ones (so far) - the cancer was caught early and was treatable. Some of the women who went for a mammogram at the same time as my mom have had to have chemotherapy, and for other women the diagnosis will simply come too late.
Breast Cancer Campaign supports research into improving diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
In aid of this good charity I, complete coward that I am, threw myself out of a plane over Northamptonshire on 14th April (or rather, as it was a tandem skydive, some bloke pushed me out of a plane) and I'm really hoping to raise some money for charity to make it all worthwhile!!
The skydive went really well, it was fantastically scary and really awesome at the same time!
