We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those of you that know me, I'm not a runner by trade but I have agreed to run (crawl/walk/hobble) the British 10k for The Brain Tumour Charity.

Our world was turned upside down in February 2014 when my wife Alex was admitted to hospital with a headache. After a CT scan, a "Tangerine sized mass" was discovered.

Alex was transferred by blue light ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for emergency brain surgery. After 3 days in a medical coma and a short stay in ICU, she was ready for a second operation to try and remove more of the tumour. Both operations went well and after rest and recovery, she is undergoing Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy.

Thanks to the support from our friends and family, her recovery is going well. We don't know what the future holds yet, but I'm sure Alex's determination to fight this will see her through whatever road we take.

I'm raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity. If Alex can fight a brain tumour, I can fight a 10k surely! :)
