Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit "Botswana 2012" page. I have set this page up, to make donating simple and easy for you. Not only is this simple and easy, but 100% safe.
Cricket Without Boundaries (CWB) was set up in 2005 and is a registered charity which works with children and the relevant authorities in four of the worst hit areas of HIV and AIDS not just in Africa but in the World. The CWB don’t just coach cricket but also give the children a hope in life with the help and support they need.
My Story:
In spring and autumn 2011 i traveled out to Rwanda, Africa for two weeks. While i was out their i worked on completing the main aims of the charity linking cricket with HIV/AIDS awarness.
As you may of gathered this year its the turn of Botswana that has to cope with the Toddster. Last year was a fantastic effort on the fundraising front and exceeding well over myself and CWB's target. If all goes to plan we will smash last years total of £1023.00.
Botswana is experiencing one of the most severe HIV/AIDS epidemics in the world. The national HIV prevalence rate among adults ages 15 to 49 is 24.1 percent, which is among the highest in sub-Saharan Africa. The primary mode of transmission is heterosexual contact, with the military and young women at higher risk of HIV infection than other populations. Young men ages 15 to 24 experience an HIV prevalence rate of 5.7 percent, while young women in the same age group experience prevalence rates of 15.3 percent.
So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE donate as much as you can to help the charity and the people of Botswana. You can donate by texting BOTS90 to 70070 or by simply clicking on the donate button at the top of my page.
THANK YOU
