Story

Hi thanks for visiting our page!

So  Ben Marvin and Grant Borthwick decided that they wanted to do our bit for charity! They looked at many things to do but wanted to do something that was a little challenging at the same time!

So......

decided to do the classic Lands End to John O'Groats bike ride...but with a little twist!

Both of us ride BMX, yes these little kids bikes that alot of people associate with thugs and holligans! So the twist being that we intend covering the 961 miles on these tiny bikes! 1 Gear, 1 brake and small wheels!

The Charity we will be doing it for is 'Cyclists fighting cancer' which all our sponsors and contributions will help children and young people that have suffered from the effects of cancer.

Please donate and help us raise some £££'s for charity!

you can press donate

or Text RIDE97 to 70070

Many Thanks for the help and support.

The story so far…

First of all, a big thank you to our friend Pieface. He put us up at the last minute in Falmouth before we made the final trip to Lands end to start our adventure.

Arriving at lands end we were greeted by strong winds of around 35-40 mph coming from the NW and I almost forgot to mention about the rain…

The rain turned out to be the last of our troubles and we ventured strait into the wind, leaving lands end at around 11am. After fixing Grant flat tire strait out of the van that is.

The day was tough, far tougher than Ben and Grant had imagined only made more difficult by the strong head winds. However, the miles started to fall as we spent more time in the saddle (or out of it as it turns out).

Finaly on the approach to Bodmin, Grant suffered a 2  flat tire of the day. That was that and we called it a day.

Tomorrow we head off and finish at Nonnie’s house in Exeter.

DAY 2 - A30 all day. Rain, wind and lots of it. Very Hard. Finished at non's in Exeter.

Day 3 - NICE WEATHER!!! Started at 9:00 leaving exeter and made good time throughout the day. Started to put some longer runs without stopping and finished the day off with a push past Bristol. Seen some interesting flooding along the way and followed the A38 for most of the time. 85 miles in total. Bring on Day 4...
