Crohn's and Colitis UK is a charity very dear to my heart. Having watched close family members suffer in silence for years, I decided to combine fundraising with the achievement of a lifetime; a trek to Machu Picchu in Peru. Being a grandmother is not going to stop me. My friend and I have already started training for this momentus journey and so far have exceeded our own expectations, going from a trot around the block to a 12 mile hike, within just three weeks.
