Tough Mudder 2013 - London South · 8 June 2013 to 9 June 2013 ·
On the 9th June, I along with 20 or so colleagues, are competing in Tough Mudder, a hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle course designed by the Special Forces (obstacles include electrocution, ice cold baths, and fire). So why, you might ask, am I doing this?
no.1 I have lost my mind
no. 2 I was drunk at the time of asking
no. 3 I have an inflated sense of my level of fitness based on my ability to run for the bus
no. 4 It is highly likely the course will be populated by fit young men that may need to help me climb walls
no. 5 I hope that by the end of the training session I will be so thin I will be able to hide behind a lamp post
It is of course a mixture of all the above, but my primary motivation is to raise as much money as possible for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The Royal Marsden is a world-leading cancer centre, providing treatment and care for more than 50,000 cancer patients every year. I like many of you, have probably been affected by Cancer in some way and this is a great way to support the work they do.
So please, please donate as much as you can (nothing is to little). Go on, donate, make yourself all warm and fuzzy inside.
