Story

Well i managed to complete the walk from Loch Lomond to Turnberry ( 90 miles/ 145km ) with the tour bag all the way ! A couple of good blisters and a sniff neck for my troubles but it was all worth while in the end. The scottish weather was kind to us and actually enjoyed the walk. My thanks firstly go to Stuart Hooley who walked with me, kept me company and navigated us well until i got involved and took a short cut into a swamp but lived to tell the tale !

Also to Lisa and Sue (our wives) for their help. Helensborough, West Kilbride, Prestwick Old and Prestwick St. Nicholas Golf Clubs for their wonderful hospitality on our travels and a couple of free pints ( for re-hydration purposes of course ).

To all my fellow rats (caddies), players, friends and people i do not even know, i can not thank you enough for your generosity to the causes, (Candlelighters Childrens Cancer Trust & Darren Clarke Foundation = Breast Cancer)

With all your help we will reach the target we set out to achieve at the start and more, and hope we can make a difference to some young lives.

Once again many many thanks to you all n heres to Lee Westwood winning The Open !!!

Regards Billy.

The Darren Clarke foundation aims to focus on bringing the game of golf to youngsters who might not get exposure to the golfing world or the opportunity to play golf. Darren wanted to pass on the knowledge and experience he has gained during his career as a professional golfer.
