Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
We are two ambitious Engineering students who, having just completed our final year at University, have just cycled from John O' Groats to Lands End in order to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.
We left on the 12th August, crossed the start line on the 14th, and finished 15 days later on the 29th. We cycled an average of 70-100 miles every day, in all sorts of the conditions, and on all sorts of terrain! We carried no more than two small panniers of clothing, spares and other stuff each, though this was still very heavy!
To get a full report on the daily events, trials and tribulations of our trip, please visit our blog at www.bikingforbreastcancer.blogspot.com.
There were originally four of us doing the trip, with a target of £500 each. Unfortunately two were forced to drop out, but we still want to hit the £2000 target. Please help us in supporting millions of breast cancer victims by sponsoring us now.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Breast Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
We would like to thank the following companies for their much needed support:
www.bikebins.com for providing us with four solid waterproof panniers; www.signsandshirts.co.uk for providing us with vinyl pannier stickers and fundraising t-shirts; Barton's Cycles of Stowmarket for giving us discounted spares and accessories.
Many thanks also to the East Anglian Daily Times for their supporting articles, and SGR fm for their generous plugs!
