Story
Bevolution Group presents SMASH the Stigma! our annual fundraiser, supporting PAPYRUS UK to challenge the stigma and silence surrounding suicide and influence national policy. PAPYRUS UK are continually working with volunteers with a mission to save young lives, empowering young people to lead suicide prevention activities in their own communities. They provide support, advice, prevention training and suicide intervention through HOPELineUK, helping young people to stay suicide safe.
In February 2016, the extreme sports world was devastated by the loss of one of its most decorated and talented individuals. Although I (Paul Bevan) did not know Dave Mirra on a personal level.. I found the news of his death extremely hard to come to terms with, having spent years of my life following his career, achievements and personal goals. In my eyes Dave was, and always will be my role model, the reason I push myself to excel in everything I pursue... He was my absolute Hero! I, as with many others, was unaware of the battles that Dave was facing. Naive to the struggle of so many people facing similar personal issues, I endeavour to raise awareness of these conditions so that others do not have to suffer feelings of shame and stigma.
Your kind donations can really make a difference as 80p in every £1 directly goes towards keeping HOPELineUK running, outreach community work and campaigning, - In November 2016 alone, PAPYRUS received 4520 calls, texts and emails to HOPELineUK.
Please help us to support this fantastic charity who work endlessly 'as do many others' to prevent the loss of our heroes, friends and loved ones.
