Story

Yn wreiddiol o Dalyllyn, cafodd Beryl yrfa gyda banc Barclays lle ddoth hi i fod y rheolwraig gyntaf yng Nghymru dros 30 mlynedd yn ol. Mae Beryl yn briod ers dros 30 mlynedd gyda'i gwr John, ac mae hi'n fam i ddau o blant.

Mae Beryl wedi gwneud llawer o waith efo Cyngor Cenhadaeth Byd Eang a trafeilio i lawer o wledydd yn ymweld a gwaith trin HIV ag AIDS ac wedi codi lot o arian at Messiah Ministries Orphanage Home yn Zambia.

Roedd Beryl yn gynghorydd i Sîr Powys am 13 blynedd ond penderfynodd hi beidio sefyll eleni. Ei diddordebau yw llefaru, beirniadu gerddi llysiau, yoga a darllen.

"Rydwyf eisiau cerdded gan fod elusen Ambiwlans Awyr Cymru mor bwysig i gefn gwlad ac rwy’n mwynhau cerdded hefyd. Rwyf eisiau cerdded y gamlas o’r Drenewydd i’r Trallwng cyn mynd i fyny Kilmanjaro flwyddyn nesaf..."

Originally from Talyllyn, Beryl had a career with Barclays Bank and became the first Regional Manageress for Wales some thirty years ago! She has been married to her husband John for thirty years and has two children.

Beryl worked extensively with The World Wide Missionary Council and travelled to many countries to investigate HIV and AIDS and has raised significant sums for Messiah Ministries Orphanage Home in Zambia.

Beryl has been a County Councillor in Powys for the last 13 years but retired this year. Her interests are recitation and judging vegetable gardens, yoga and reading.

"I want to do the walk because I believe that the Wales Air Ambulance charity is very important to the countryside and I enjoy walking. I have always wanted to walk the canal footpath between Newtown and Welshpool. I am hoping to progress to walking up Kilimanjaro next year!"
