We are a group of friends who are running the Edinburgh Marathon/Relay on Sunday 24th May 2020 to raise funds for www.braintumourresearch.org in memory of our dear friend Ross Ballard.

Who's running? Ben & Laura Willis, Mark & Kirsten McClelland, Andy & Charlotte Nixon, Neil & Joanne Keery, Nolan & Nicola Andrews, Nico Fell, Allan Nelson and we are delighted that Rachel Ballard will be running a
leg for one of our relay teams. 

Most of the team will be running in the relay however Nolan & Charlotte will attempt to run the Marathon.

Back in January 2019 we lost our very close & much-loved friend, the brilliantly creative, funny, one-of-a-kind Ross Ballard, after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February 2016.

We all grew up with Ross in Holywood, Co Down and we remained very close throughout the years.

We miss Ross terribly and we wanted to come together and raise some much-needed funds in his memory. We asked his wife, Rachel, to nominate a charity.

Rachel has chosen www.braintumourresearch.org as during Ross's illness they felt that many of their questions couldn't be answered as research hadn't been completed & that a very small percentage of cancer research spend goes
towards brain tumours.

Therefore, as a group we are very motivated in raising as much money as we can in the fight against this awful disease. We really appreciate you reading our story and hopefully you can make a donation and help us get a little closer to our fundraising target.
