I am a completing a charity bike ride at the end of May this year to raise money for the Help for Heroes charity which has been set up to help those who have been wounded in Britain's current conflicts.  Help for Heroes is strictly non-political.  The money raised is being used to improve the rehabilitation facilities for service personnel who have suffered severe injuries including the loss of limbs, provide on-site accommodation for families to help the recovery process, and provide support to the injured as they try to assimilate back into civilian life.

I am joining 300 others in a Help for Heroes Bike Ride around the Second World War Battlefields for six days at the end of May, which will involve riding approxiamtely 60-70 miles a day.  This is quite a physical challenge and I must raise in excess of £2,000 in order to qualify for the event.
