Story
As a Methodist Minister, I take funerals - and too many of them have been for people who died too young, through cancer. My own health has improved dramatically over the past couple of years as I've altered my eating habits and taken up exercise, losing over seven stone. I wanted to celebrate my new life (and turning fifty!) by doing something I've long aspired to - running a marathon.
And so I ran the London Marathon on 13th April 2014, finishing in 6:42:13. You can read the whole story of my training and the race itself on my blog: http://barbararunslondon2014.blogspot.co.uk/
