Story
30 May 2009. An enormous thank you everyone who sponsored me for my West Highland Way walk, all 95 miles from Milngavie to Fort William, and to those who may decide to sponsor me after the event.
We had a largely wet walk, but absolutely stunning scenery and such a lovely group to walk with. It would have been easier if I'd been fitter, but aren't most things? The important thing is I made it and had huge fun along the way.
I'd recommend it to anyone who's halfway fit.
I didn't manage Ben Nevis, partly due to seriously weary knees, and partly due to inclement weather. The top was shrouded in cloud when we arrived in Fort William in lashing, icy rain. None of the group went up, but I'm told there was over 1m 20 of snow up there last week.
I stayed with my daughter and her family in the Black Isle for a few days after, but I'm back home now, work on Monday..........
Again, many many thanks to all who were kind enough, or plan, to donate to the fantastic SOAR group, I can't begin to explain how very grateful they are for your support in the work they do with Special Needs children and young people.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SOAR Youth Projects gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
