On 16th June 2011, Cpl Lloyd Newell was fatally wounded by small arms fire whilst on operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Lloyd is my mate Karl's little brother and in tribute to him, Karl, myself and 14 other intrepid friends are taking part in the Para's 10 Challenge.

The Para Challenge is a 10 mile cross country trek, carrying rucksack weighing 35lbs (16kgs) and wearing long trousers with military style boots. This is the entry level fitness test to the Para Regiment with a cut-off time of 1hr 50mins. It's a beast but this is a mission that will not beat us...
