Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

This year I reached 40!!!!

To celebrate this inauspicious occasion I took part in Christian Aid's London to Paris ride. Is there a better example of a mid-life crisis?

I did the ride with two colleagues from the University of Leicester - Paul Lazarus and Anil Sood. We are the Leicester Lycra Lads, mission statement "our shorts are tight, so you don't have to be".

I am wrote a blog about my preparation and fundraising, and "twittered" from the ride -  you can read it here http://londontoparisonabike.blogspot.com/

We had a fantastic time, made new friends and ate an enormous amout of food (you need a lot to cycle that far, but I think we might have exceeded it!)

If you were thinking of buying me a present for my 40th (or even if you weren't) please make a donation here instead. My family are paying the £600 tour costs for my birthday present, so everything you give will go straight to Christian Aid.

Thank you!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Christian Aid gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
