At midday on Saturday 13th June 2009 I walked together with my friend Rich onto the summit of Mont Blanc. The sun was splitting the sky, the views were amazing, and our thoughts were of my son Ross, back at home in UK, 13 months old and suffering from a rare and severe form of epilepsy, and Archie, Rich's son and my Godson who died of a brain tumour in 1998 aged 14 months.
The climb from the valley floor was very hard work and my heels were raw and sore, but together we'd made our goal, the summit of the highest mountain in Western Europe. At the same time we'd raised, including Gift Aid, well over £20,000 for the National Society for Epilepsy, and over £5,000 for CLIC Sargent via our fundraising website

Many thanks to everyone who has supported and sponsored us. It means a lot...
