Story
Thank you for coming to register for 'Go PInk at the Arc'.
We are hoping to attract 2,300 people to the arc Shopping Centre in Bury St Edmunds at 9.30am on Sunday 24 October to take part in a fantastic and fun aerial photo shoot.
At Suffolk Breakthrough Breast Cancer we are asking you to join up with family, friends, work colleagues and hundreds of complete strangers to raise crucial funds for breast cancer research.
Why 2,300? Because this represents 5% of the people diagnosed with breast cancer every year. To attract so many to a shopping centre on a Sunday morning is a bold move, but it shows how serious we are in raising both vital funds and awareness of breast cancer. In addition to everyone wearing pink, the scene will also be set with balloons and banners as well as warm-up exercise courtesy of Karen Perkins from Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness and Suffolk Salsa. In return, you will get be part of a photo that will be published in the East Anglian Daily Times, along with other campaigns; but most of all every single penny raised will go towards fighting this killer disease and raising awareness of the condition in both men and women. All we ask is for you to donate a minimum of £5 to help raise vital funds for breast cancer research.
Please ask as many of your friends and family to register and come along - see you at 9.30am at the Arc shopping centre ready to wave for this unique photo.
As the UK's leading breast cancer charity, Breakthrough Breast Cancer not only works towards eradicating breast cancer in the future, but also address the needs of patients today and are making a real difference to patients affected by breast cancer here in Suffolk.
