We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

I'm running the London Marathon in April 2014 to support the Alzeimer's Society. I’m hoping you will consider a small donation to help motivate me to train like never before for what is (I promise) a fairly significant challenge for someone whose knees are held together with duct-tape and string!

I’m running in memory of my Gran who passed away last year having suffered from the effects of the disease for some time. It really is a great charity and I’m a big fan of what they do – you can read more here.

The fundraising target is quite ambitious, so as an extra incentive to encourage donations… when you donate please cast your vote for my ridiculous outfit. Some suggestions I’ve already had offline include King Arthur (complete with 'armour') and a onesie…

I’ll wear the most popular vote (where practical!) to complete the course.

Thank you in advance for any support you are able to give.

Andy

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
