Story
Last year we completed a sponsored walk from Meltham to Saddleworth to raise funds for Aids Orphans in Tanzania. We raised a lot of money, which helped to send some of these children to school.
This year we want to make the same walk again, well it was very nice. It’s about 10 miles and handily starts at a sandwich van and ends at a pub, so it really couldn’t be more perfect!
We will be raising funds for Barnardo’s who have a project inHuddersfield which helps homeless children. Here’s a bit more about the project.
Missing – Missing provides services in the Bradford and Kirklees area offering individual/group work to young people aged 16 and under who go missing from home or the looked after system. It is recognised that these young people are vulnerable to offending, substance misuse and exploitation and/or abuse through prostitution.
Missing also has its own website which you can visit at http://www.barnardos.org.uk/missinginyorkshire
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Barnardo's will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor Applied Language now!
Many thanks for your support.
