Story

My name is Anneloes and I have run the Flora London Marathon 2007 for Merlin (Medical Emergency Relief International). It was an incrucinating painful and very hot run, but I finished in 5 hr and 18 minutes!

Running the marathon was a big thing for me. For one, I never even used to run for a bus, and the last time I got any serious exercise was at gym classes at school, which was 18 (!) years ago. I started training back in August 2006 - I kept an online diary (blog) on my progress (i.e. failings) here: http://are-we-there-yet-uk.blogspot.com/ and had various set backs/injuries along the way, but I am very glad I finished it the way I did on this very hot and humid day.

The fact that you are reading this probably means you are considering sponsoring me. Thank you so much! It is not too late to sponsor me! I and Merlin will really appreciate your support. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Merlin (Medical Emergency Relief International) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many many thanks!
