Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
We’re not quite sure who planted the ridiculous idea into our minds but somehow we have managed to double bluff each other into running the London Marathon on 26th April 2009. And, unfortunately for us, this is not a joke…
We are running for the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA). The SIA is the leading national charity for people with spinal cord injuries. They are unique in that they are a user led organisation with all the Trustees being spinal cord injured themselves.
We have put a lot of thought into the charity we are running for and we have chosen who to run for very carefully. The work that the SIA do is extremely beneficial, not just for those affected by spinal cord injuries, but also for their families.
We would be hugely grateful for any sponsorship that you would like to give. Running a marathon is not something we would normally choose to do and almost certainly not something that we will enjoy, but having found ourselves in this position we are going to do the best we can!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Spinal Injuries Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
