Story
Hello everyone! Thank-you so much for taking the time to visit my page.
So as many of you know, in October 2013, I hopped on a plane to live and teach in Vietnam. Now I’ve decided to add to this adventure!
I am very thankful to have secured a last minute place on this exciting challenge.
In April, I will be cycling for 1 month for charity from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh. With another 18 wonderful teachers I will be using the pure power in my legs to move 1200 miles down the length of Vietnam!
We will be tackling the mighty roads all in aid of raising money for disadvantaged children in Vietnam. Riders are responsible for their own expenses so every single donation will go directly to the charities that we are supporting.
So PLEASE PLEASE donate!!
Our main partner this year is Saigon Children's Charity. The SCC aims to help disadvantaged children in Vietnam to reach their full potential through receiving a quality education relevant to their needs. The SCC is distinguished for giving scholarships, building schools, running a vocational school in Saigon and working with other, smaller organizations that focus on children with disabilities. They enable over 3,000 children to go to school every day in Vietnam!
We will also be supporting;
- www.childrensinitiative.org, The Children’s Initiative
- www.koto.com.au, KOTO stands for “Know One, Teach One”:
- www.liveandgive.eu,www.facebook.com.
- www.facebook.com/ILA.CommunityNetwork. The ILA Community Network (ILACN)The ILA Community Network (ILACN)
I am very excited by this challenge and to have the opportunity to give something back to the country that I am now living in. Every donation counts, so please support these worthwhile charities (and my cycling thighs!).
There are many, many challenging miles ahead of me so I appreciate all of your support!
