Jim's 100th Marathon for nephew Michael · 14 July 2012

The Lullaby Trust exists to keep babies safe and to keep grieving families supported. We fund life-saving research, empower families with expert baby safety advice and support grieving families through their darkest days. We won’t give up until no baby dies suddenly or unexpectedly.

Story

Our nephew Michael died on 21st February 1998 his parents and our whole family were devastated. I decided to do something in his memory. At that point in time I had only run 10K or half marathons so I decided to run the London Marathon 1999  for FSID.

This was only ever going to be a one off marathon but I enjoyed the support of the crowd and really enjoyed the personal achievement of completing it and raising £1621.00 for the charity in Michael's name. I then got the bug for marathon runing and have now completed 92 marathons.

My 100th marathon will be the Portsmouth  Costal marathon 23rd December 2012 and have decided to once again raise funds in memory of this very special little boy for whom I began this marathon journey!

I would like to ask you to donate to this very worthwhile charity who work hard to support families who are affected by this dreadful condition and hopefully one day we will have some answers and prevent other families suffering the way ours has.

Please donate to support me in memory of Michael!
