Story
I'm currently in training to take part in the London Marathon on 22 April. Yes, that's right...running....26.2 miles!
I'm running on behalf of a small charity called ARC (Antenatal Results & Choices) They provide support and advice to parents before, during and after prenatal testing. I have supported them for a few years as I believe they provide a vital service at a very difficult time.
In 2008, Kieran and I received devastating news at the 12 week scan that our baby had a fatal disorder. Our world fell apart. Regrettably, we didn't know about ARC at this time but I wish we had. Our decision would have been the same but they could have helped us to manage all the painful emotions we felt, and let us know we were not alone.
ARC provides help for parents in many ways and you can find out more on their website www.arc-uk.org
I want to raise as much money as possible so that ARC can continue to support parents through this difficult period of their lives. Please support me in this huge challenge of a lifetime by donating however much you can.
Any supporters to cheer me along the (long) way on Sunday April 22nd would be very welcome!
Thank you, angeX
