After the 2 half marathons in 2012 I've decided to do another charity run, but this time 26.2 miles on the capital's roads in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2014. Having spent a lot of time in the hospital as your young-un I know how important it is to have a hospital that is welcoming, warm and modern.

In training for the London marathon I am also running 3 half marathons and a 10km. So in total I will be running 5 events in the space of 9 weeks. 

The current hospital is out-dated; many of the wards were built in the 1960’s and remain cramped. The appeal aims to match world class facilities with the existing world class care, creating the best possible environment for children to get better more quickly.

TCHC need to raise £20million: £10million regionally, whilst another £10million will come through large donations from individuals, companies and trusts. The whole rebuild will cost £40million, with the NHS funding the other £20million.

Please help me to make an extraordinary hospital even better.
