Story

Andy 'The Saint' Sayers is pleased as Punch!!

On 29th May, I quite literally fought for my children's school.  Small, rural, faith schools struggle to survive these days but by fighting in this Charity boxing match I feel I have been able to make a real difference.

16 contenders fought for their chosen charities on the night and we all trained really hard.  None of us had boxed before and the training alone was, without doubt, the most challenging thing I've ever done.

English Martyrs Catholic Primary School has just 3 full time teachers and relies on a lot of voluntary help.  The children would really love more play facilities, a library bursting with books, art and music equipment and quiet areas for children with specific needs.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Friends of English Martyrs will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.  For all my training and fundraising information, please visit my blog at http://andysayers.blogspot.com

Many thanks for your support.

About the charity

This charity supports a very small rural school in Oakham, Rutland. Friends of English Martyrs are a group of volunteer parents who help provide specialist equipment and resources for all the children. The charity supports disadvantaged children and their families and helps to pay for cultural, social and educational experiences that they would otherwise be unable to benefit from.
