Story
Hey everyone,
Well, it's that time of year again. After months of gruelling training in far-flung locations, including mountain training in Sweden, hot-weather training in the UK (no, really, it was quite warm), and rain-soaked training in the Netherlands; on the 19th of October I will run the Amsterdam Marathon.
However, just completing the distance is not enough. I would also like to use the sweat, blood (especially if I get runner's, ahem, nipple), and blister juice to inspire you all to donate to the Opportunity to Hope (O2H) charity. I'm trying to raise one Pound for every calorie I'll burn during the run. O2H is a Christian charity run by friends of mine in the UK who would only be too happy to convert your hard-earned cash into a children's home in Zimbabwe, a pregnancy crisis service in the UK, or a whole raft of other projects. Check out www.opportunity2hope.org for more details.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: O2H gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor me now!
Thanks, Andrew
