On 11 June 2011 I will be taking part in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain which involves completing the 1000 mile trip from John O'Groats to Lands End.  During this trip we will climb the equivalent of three Mount Everests and apparently burn almost 70,000 calories.

All money raised will go towards the ParalympicsGB and Disability Sport UK. 

ParalympicsGB are the charity that supports British athletes through each Paralympic Games. In 2008, ParalympicsGB had their best ever Paralympic Games, and are now less than two years away from the home Games in London 2012.

ParalympicsGB have one chance to ensure that Britain’s Paralympians receive the best possible preparations to compete, and win, against the rest of the world in front of the home crowds. Through these performances they have one opportunity to inspire change in the way people think, feel and behave towards disability and inspire a new generation of people with a disability to get in to sport, but they need help to provide the world class support British disabled athletes need.
