I am part of a large group of staff and students fund raising on behalf of the Great North Air Ambulance in memory of two much loved, and much missed, former students at Ponteland High School. 

A group of over 40 staff, students and community members will be doing the Great North Run  to raise £10,000.  We chose to “Run for Rachel” in memory of Rachel Blaylock who was due to complete the Great North Run in 2014 but was tragically killed in a car crash two months before the event. 

I am raising money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service because of their role in the rescue attempt of Victoria Wilkinson and her father in 2009.  Victoria was a student at our school at the time of the accident and sadly neither her nor her father survived the accident.
