Time for an update......Jan 07

As most of you already know I am running the Flora London Marathon in April 2007 as part of Team Dubai.  I have just completed the Dubai Marathon in 5 hrs 12 mins, and it was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life!  An old injury flared up at 9k, so the next 33k were a real struggle.  This photo was taken at the 33k mark and I can't believe I actually have a smile on my face!  Time now to get my injury sorted so I can start training again for London. 

We are raising funds for the RNIB in the UK and also for a local UAE charity called Foresight, who are dedicated to improving the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired in the UAE.  Between 10 of us we are aiming to raise 250,000 dirhams (approximately 37,000 pounds) and have many fund raising events planned in the run up to the big day, such as gala dinners, boat cruises and golf competitions.
