Three of my friends and I are taking part in a car rally from Strathaven South Lanarkshire to Venice Italy during the first week in September 2015. Originally we set out to do this project as just a bit of fun, however as the event nears we thought it would be an excellent opportunity to try to raise some funds for a fantastic charity. My friends and I have all been touched by cancer in some form and we greatly appreciate the care our friends, relatives, and colleagues have had as a result of the excellent work done by the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. 

Our journey will be challenging as we are travelling in a 20 year old Volvo which cost us less than £400, as that is one of the conditions of entry to this event .There are a large number of other persons taking part from all over the country so it should be fun visiting 9 counties in 5 days, but what better way to try and raise funds for such a great cause.
