We help over 2,000 local people each year to live their precious lives well
Story
Ali was a talented and inspirational ski instructor who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in November 2007 and sadly passed away on 22June 2008.
He was fortunate to spend his last 7 weeks at The Hospice of St Francis where he received the specialist palliative care that only they can provide. Ali felt safe, comfortable and happy in the warm and loving environment created by the dedicated professionals caring for him and which should be available to everyone.
He was a very special and generous person who touched and enriched the lives of thousands and our hope now is that those lucky enough to have known him will help us to reach our target of £100,000 to fund a bed for one year to help others as Ali wished.

The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £6m we need each year to fund our free care.
