Story
We have done it!!
We arrived at John O'Groats on Monday 7th June 2010 after a fantastic trip. A HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way and helped us achieve this amount for Macmillan - if you haven't already donated, there is still time!!
On May 23rd, we will set off to cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats covering a total distance of over 1000 miles. During this 2 week epic, we will average 60 miles a day, spend over 100 hours in the saddle, climb the equivalent of twice the height of Everest whilst hopefully discovering some tasty scone shops along the way. We won’t have the benefit of a support team so we will be carrying all our kit in panniers and will be overnighting in bunkhouses, B&Bs and with friends and family where we can en route. We would be really grateful if you could support us in our crazy attempt to cycle the length of Britain by donating whatever you can to Macmillan Cancer Support, who provide such fantastic practical, medical and financial support for people affected by cancer. Whilst we spend 14 consecutive days battling muscle ache, chafing and the unpredictability of a British summer, it will all be worth it if we've managed to raise some money for this worthy cause. So please donate now – your contribution can make a difference. Thank you so much. Sue & Ali xAbout JustGiving
