We’re the National Deaf Children’s Society, the charity for deaf children with any level of hearing loss. Whatever the question or challenge, we’ll help find a way through. We believe in a world where anything is possible for deaf children. Together, let’s make sure nothing holds deaf children back.

Story

Next year I will be running the London Marathon for NDCS which is the National Deaf Children's Society. The NDCS is a national charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. This resonates with me particularly as my little brother is deaf.

Please contribute whatever you can to help me get towards my target of £1500.00 - which I am required to raise in order to be able to take part next year. Use the gift aid option if you can, since this means that the charity can get hold of an extra 28% of whatever you give, from the government. You don't have to sponsor me anymore, it just means that the charity itself ends up getting some more money.

I figured this would be an easy way of collecting money, since I don't have to come round all your houses or whatever afterwards to claim the sponsorship. So please, give what you can. I will give regular-ish updates on training and all of that so anyone who cares can see how I'm doing (struggling).

thanks, alex.
