I am 11 years old and when I was asked to complete this swim I wanted to know who I was swimming for and how it could help.  Aspire is an amazing charity that helps rehabilitate people that have suffered spinal injuries. People like me and you who are able bodied one moment then through no fault of their own they have an accident and end up with spinal injuries. I knew that I wanted to help these people and was originally asked to swim as part of a team. I decided to swim alone as I believe I will get more sponsorship to help this charity if I take on the 22 mile swim by myself.
