My dad was one of the estimated half a million undiagnosed cases
of Diabetes and 10 years ago became insulin dependant. Diabetes UK were instantly on the case and their magazine Balance filled in a lot of answers to many questions. Over two million people in the UK have been diagnosed with Diabetes and Diabetes UK receives no Government funding and relies entirely on voluntary donations.
As my Dad's had over 70 years involvement with cycling, it seemed the best method of raising money would be on my bike! I'm aiming to raise £500 by cycling the length of the South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne on Saturday 25th October. The 100 mile off road route should take approx 10-11 hours so if you are in the area and want to come along let me know :) Any contribution would be gratefully recieved.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Diabetes UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
