Hey folks welcome to my Just giving page for the Laugavegur Ultra Marathon, which i'm running in support of MENCAP. Mencap are a charity who help people with learning dissabilities enjoy life as much as possible, and to help them to study and get jobs, and basically to give them opportunities that they would otherwise not get and that many of us take for granted. I hope you agree that this a very worthy cause.

The race itself is a 55km race through the Icelandic mountains in July next year....I must be crazy! It involves running through rivers, up and down mountains and through snow drifts-sound fun? Thought not!

The idea for doing the race came from my friend Jo, and unlike anyone sane I thought it sounded brilliant! Also I think its a great way to make sure i'm in shape for my and Vikis wedding next summer!

I hope you can all donate generously, and don't forget to tick the gift aid box...I know most of you aren't students anymore!
