Story
Hello/Peace/Salaam :)
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On 3rd December 2010, I embarked upon an intense 18 day trek which took me through the Himalayas, up to Mt Everest Base Camp (17,500ft).
The reason I took on this challenge is to raise vital funds for the Pakistan Flood Appeal.
The recent Pakistan floods caused the greatest natural disaster of UN history. The damage caused by the floods is greater than the Asian Tsunami, the Kashmir earthquake and the Haiti earthquake - COMBINED! Millions of people have been driven from their homes and left with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Villages have been completely submerged and cut off from the world. Families have been torn apart.
Islamic Relief (a member of the DEC), has been on the ground since the disaster unfolded, providing essential aid. They now plan to rebuild 60 villages in Pakistan and WE can help them do it.
By the grace of God, I've completed my challenge and made it to Everest Base Camp. Part 2 of my challenge is hitting my £3000 target. YOU can help me do this, YOU can transform lives.
Please dig deep, donate generously and give a second chance to those who have been left with nothing.
