abrs 3 Peaks Challenge Trailer:
On Saturday 18th May the abrs team will be completing the 'Three Peaks Challenge' in order to raise money for the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust (TVACAA).
25 abrs employees and supporters will begin the ordeal at 5am from base camp in Scotland where we will begin the climb of Ben Nevis (4409ft) but there will be no time for sightseeing as we will immediately descend and drive straight to the Lake District where we will climb and descend Scafell Pike (3209ft) before driving to Wales for the final Peak of Snowdon (3560ft), hopefully before 5am on Sunday 19th May. The total distance walked is 27miles with a total climb of 9,800ft!
We chose our charity partner the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust (TVACAA) as it is a very deserving local charity that could affect the lives of all of us at abrs and many of our families and friends.
TVACAA was launched in June 1999, and provides a life saving service for the counties of Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The air ambulance, is a Eurocopter EC135 named BOB, which represents the 3 counties it covers.
- TVACAA is NOT funded by central Government or the National Lottery and relies entirely on donations from the public.
- It costs over £3million a year to run
- A single mission costs £2,500
- Undertakes an average of four missions a day, for emergency situations involving road traffic collisions, equestrian and sporting accidents and medical illnesses, TVACAA urgently needs further funds to keep up its brilliant service.
- Runs 7 days a week, during daylight hours.
- Needs a pilot and two fully qualified paramedics supported by a small team of doctors to operate
- Requires a large range of medical equipment
For the team to continue their life saving duties, abrs asks for your support in our challenge in order to raise a significant amount of funds for TVACAA.
PLEASE sponsor abrs's 'Three Peak Challenge' for Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust, by making a donation today.
Thank You.
