I have campaigned long and hard for children and young peoples’ rights. I am a long standing campaigner against injustice, inequality, discrimination, antisemitism and racism, opposing the scapegoating of migrants and refugees.  

I have come from a not so privileged background but I believe that it is not where you came from but where you're going that matters, for this reason, I have always worked multiple jobs so that I can one day fulfill my dreams. Along the way, I want to help fulfill the dreams of the needy and poor around the world. I have been raised by a family that has deep values of social change and making a difference to people's life's. In particular, my own believe to care for orphans and make sure that they, just like everybody else, have a good start in life. I also believe that just because their mother and father have died doesn't give anybody the right to discriminate against orphans or take their rights away. They should be loved, treasured and helped which is why this year, 2016 I will be working hard for them and raising money for them. I will be running the half marathon on the 16th of October for 12 miles, starting in Birmingham City Centre and going around the city. 

This is the first time I have EVER run a half-marathon and the only time I ever run is for the bus so this will be a real challenge.  But, I'm glad that it is a half marathon and not a marathon I'm doing. Tomorrow I will inform the HR team at work that I will be off the next day as my body needs to rest. I'm doing this for a good cause, and, I know that orphans will rise forever. So, if you too want to make a difference and help Penny Appeal build homes for orphans whose mothers and fathers have passed away and are left with nothing apart from hope. Then, donate what ever you can now. It is small change but of course a BIG difference.
