Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you are aware, I am not known for my sporting prowess and it has been quite a while since I tackled a distance run. However, I have been motivated to get off the sofa, pause Pretty Little Liars midway through a season and dust off my trainers to raise money for an amazing research project which UCLH are running (supported by Little Heartbeats - http://www.little-heartbeats.org.uk/) into a pregnancy-related condition, medically known as PPROM. This condition touched my family's life very personally at the end of last year when my sister Hannah and her husband Chris lost their little boy, Charlie, who was born at 27 weeks and lived for 30 minutes.
PPROM is the acronym for Preterm Prelabour Rupture Of Membranes. This is otherwise known as waters breaking prior to 37 weeks during pregnancy. Research into this little known area is vital and all donations will go towards funding medical studies that aim to seek a better understanding of the causes and therefore ultimately prevention of this condition.
