We are Esme and Wendy, 2 yarn addicts who have created 'Yarn On 2016'. This is a creative yarn-inspired project to raise funds and awareness for the charity Breast Cancer Now and we will also make some beautiful artwork in the process.

So many of us have been touched by the horror of breast cancer that we need to work together to overcome this devastating disease. If we can raise awareness and be creative whilst raising funds, so much the better! This is what Yarn On 2016 is all about.

On Saturday Feb 6th 2016 we'll be crocheting and knitting for 12 hours straight at the fabulous Oakes Barn pub in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. If you can give us a cheer to keep that yarn moving all day, and help us raise our target of £500, well that would be FANTASTIC! Come and join us and get yarning if you can! Or get yarning at home and ask friends/family to donate here to encourage you!

We are asking anyone who loves yarn to make square/rectangular panels (one side to measure 15cm, acrylic/nylon yarn only please in lovely bright colours) to adorn a tree in the Abbey Gardens, Bury St Edmunds, as a piece of artwork dedicated to everyone affected by breast cancer. This will be on display for the whole summer.
